WHAT TO EXPECT AS A DELIVERY CHAMPION?
We refer to our drivers as Delivery Champions because that’s exactly what they are. They champion every delivery, no matter what. Their champion mentality powers them through whatever the day might bring to ensure packages are delivered to Amazon customers every day.
Delivery Champions drive safely, load vehicles, deliver packages, meet deadlines, are accountable, go the extra step, collaborate and are supportive team players, why? Amazon incentivizes us with BONU$ money when we score well in their safety and delivery scorecard. Collaborating as one team, benefits all, with more money in our paychecks $$$.
HOW MUCH CAN I EXPECT TO EARN?
Beyond your base hourly salary, there is room to grow financially and career wise. If you are a top performer, there’s bonus money to be made. And as a top performer, as we grow and our route count increases, new positions will open up in Operations, Fleet Management, Dispatch, etc.
AMAZON takes care of everything from the moment the customer orders online to the moment their order is fulfilled, sorted and ready for delivery. Once we pick it up at the Delivery Station, we become the CHAMPIONS OF THE LAST MILE™ ensuring the package reaches the customer safely, on-time and with great service.
NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE NEEDED. But, you need to meet the following criteria:
21+ years old
Regular driver license within the state of employment — no commercial license required (CDL)
Able to operate and navigate a delivery van, GVWR 10,000 lbs. or less
Move boxes up to 70 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
Consent to a drug screening — safety is our #1 priority
Great communication skills — among the team and with customers
Team Player — we won’t succeed if we’re not a team
ANYTHING ELSE?
Yes. Here are some facts about the expectations of this job:
Average of 10.5 hrs. days
Load packages, boxes and bags into vans every day
Two fifteen (:15) minute paid breaks (required) and a thirty (:30) minute unpaid lunch break OR… One twenty (:20) minute paid break, one ten (:10) minute paid break and a thirty (:30) minute unpaid lunch break (your choice).
Fill up vehicle after your shift at a preferred gas station. We provide a gas card.
Alone for most of the day. No texting and driving. No headphones. No distractions. Customer #1 priority.
Deliver all packages — which means about 120-150 stops and ~200+ packages per day. It is a simple, but not easy job as it is highly physical.
